Hi, I'm Maia
Hi There! I'm Maia Johnson the owner of MJ Website Design & SEO+.
Website design has provided me the opportunity to combine a creative outlet with a passion. Growing up I lived in a variety of locations, throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Colorado. I eventually made Janesville my home.
My mother's family is from Chicago and My father comes from a long line of farmers from Wisconsin. They went their separate ways when I was young. So now half my heart belongs to the city and the other half belongs to the country.
My mother was a union iron worker in downtown Chicago for years, then discovered her true passion for IT. She landed a pretty incredible opportunity to work with the air force in Colorado. The mountains will always take my breath away. Literally!
My Father milked cows when I was younger and then worked for a local HVAC company where he found his passion for business. He opened his own HVAC company and did really well for a few years, but then had to close up shop during the recession. He went on to get his engineering degree and does incredibly well for himself today!
My point is, I have been fortunate to have been raised by hard working men and women. They refused to give up and wore the weight of the world on their shoulders to provide for their family. My goal is to take some of that weight off business owners by guiding local businesses through today’s digital landscape, strengthening one business at a time and, in turn, strengthening our community.
